Natural horse care, made with love — and a whole lot of lived experience.

We’re Amy and Bill, the pair behind Equidae Botanicals. We live on a farm in the beautiful Southern Highlands of NSW with a small herd of very well-loved horses — including three retired Thoroughbreds (courtesy of Bill’s love of the punt), Humphrey the big, gentle Clydie cross with his famously pink nose, and Hank, our cheeky young Appaloosa whose spotty bottom makes Amy smile daily. His mane and tail, however… well, let’s just say we’re working on that. Stay tuned.

Humphrey is really the heart of this story. His sensitive skin — and constant need for a gentle, natural sunscreen — reminded us just how important it is to have products you can trust. That’s why we feel so lucky to now run a company that shares those values.

Since taking over Equidae, we’ve refined and improved every formula — making them cleaner, more effective, and more environmentally conscious, without ever compromising on quality. We use only human-grade, plant-based ingredients, and everything is made in small batches to maintain the highest standards. And yes — we always test our products on our own horses before they head out into the world.

We’re here for the horse people. The ones up early in the dark. The ones nursing sore backs, brushing muddy legs, checking feeds, picking hooves, and loving every minute — even when it’s hard. We know that life, because we live it too.
