Equine Dentist Dave Rowden, assisted by his wife Sue, have been attending to the dental care of the horses here at Pine Point Station since early 2006.

During this time the horses have benefited from their care and I have learnt so much about the dental health and well being of our horses and would be happy to recommend them to you.

It is very pleasing that Sue and Dave Rowden take considerable care of not only the horses well being but also that of fussy owners like myself.

Having professionals like Dave and Sue travel to the remote parts of Outback Australia shows their dedication to the well being of the horses they treat.

Testimonial from Rene Jenke of Eudunda

Like most people, I have always known that having your horses teeth looked at regularly was important, but also like most people I hadn’t used a specially trained equine dentist before.

I first had Dave and Sue work on my horses in mid 2007 because my recently broken in Cleveland Bay X, and dressage prospect, was on his last chance. My plan was for him to have some Bowen therapy and be seen by the dentist to rule out any physical problems. If, after that, his dangerous resistance didn’t settle I was going to put him up for sale as he was beginning to scare me. The dental work came first and WOW what a huge difference it made. The resistance and evasion of the bit stopped and I was able to concentrate on his education. He has now begun his dressage career and is showing lots of potential.

I have also purchased a pony that has benefitted greatly from the work done by Dave and Sue. When I bought her I was told that she was “a bit funny around the mouth and would only accept a straight bit”. They were right. She was very anxious about the bit and having her mouth touched. Since being seen she has lost the anxiety associated with the bit and is fine with having her mouth touched. She is now working in a French snaffle and is being successfully shown by my 7 yr old daughter.

I have all 5 of my horses seen by Dave and Sue regularly and have always found them to be very professional. They are more than willing to explain and show you what they find and I have nothing but praise for their work.
